This is a beautiful sweater knitting kit using a pattern from Rico Design and their Creative Melange Wonderball Aran. It always gets lots of attention at yarn shows! And some lovely colours to chose from.
Have you noticed how it is knitted? Don't be scared, its only knitting! You cast on at one cuff edge and work horizontally across the garment, working up the sleeve to where the front and back start. Then you cast on stitches for the back and front, work a bit more then divide for the neck hole. Work the front and back separately then transfer all the stitches back on one needle and mirror the first part of the sweater back down to the second cuff. The pattern explains all the details really well.
STITCHES USED
- A 1 x 1 rib at the sleeve cuff edge
- Stocking stitch throughout
SKILL LEVEL
- Easy
- Skills required, you will need to make the sweater using circular needles although you are not knitting in the round, increasing at the beginning and end of a row, rib stitch.
