It looks really complicated doesn't it? But this is a very simple lace scarf to knit. The pattern only has two different rows to follow, one pattern row and one purl row, nice and simple. There are so many beautiful colours to choose from, one of them is bound to suit you!
Using this 4 ply multi coloured 100% merino yarn and a 4.5mm needle you can create a soft luxurious statement winter scarf. Keep it for yourself or make it for a friend.
Your scarf should measure approximately 29 cm x 160 cm, this is dependent on your tension.

WHAT IS BLOCKING?
This process relaxes and 'flattens' your knitting. Sometimes it is confused with ironing your work which will permanently flatten your knitting and personally I do NOT advise.
To block pin your scarf out on a carpeted floor easing it out to its maximum size but taking care not to stretch it. Dampen some tea towels with hot water squeezing out the excess and lay flat on top of your work. Hand press the towels into your work so they make good contact and leave to dry. Once the towels are dry your work will have a much neater appearance.

I bought a blue/purple scarf from you at Newton Abbot race course event . It is an easy but attractive lace look.Nice quality looking yarn.The random coloured stripes are lovely, knit up in nice widths and show off the movement of lace design beautifully. Just ordered in green .The stripes are more bright and contrasting, nice for colour splash in winter, though a little less ‘lace delicate’ .

A really lovely and relaxing project. The simple lace is enough to keep it interesting, but once started you don’t need to look at the pattern, so can relax in a comfortable chair and work on it. The colours are great too.
