You can use it as a standard chunky weight for patterns using 6.5mm needles. Buy this yarn by the ball or as a sweater kit.
WHAT IS CHUNKY WEIGHT YARN?
Used for winter weight garments and accessories . They are ideal for beginners as they knit up quickly using 6 - 7mm needles or hooks. Commonly the fibres used for chunky weight are wool and acrylic.
WHAT IS ACRYLIC YARN?
It has come a long way since it first appeared in the 1950s and modern techniques allow a much softer yarn to be spun compared to that of the 1970s. Blended with wool it allows for a cheaper yarn, one with better colour fastness and wear properties.
